Monthly Musings: October 2023
Hello, lovely people! I hope this post finds you happy, healthy, and hopefully, wrapped up against that cold October breeze. I am stopping by for literally the shortest of minutes to share with you our Monthly Musings: October 2023 post – condensed style. Unlike every other MM post in the blog archives, today’s post is going to be in almost bullet point format. There just isn’t enough time in the days anymore! Ready?

The wedding is in 23 days from today! This is my last Monthly Musings post as an unmarried lady!!! Panic stations!

All wedding attire has been secured!!! I had my final dress fitting last month (it’s *chef’s kiss*), and officially have it back in my possession before the Big Day. We also recently collected Fiancé’s tailor-made suit- it’s PERFECT! He looks so gosh darn handsome in it!!

Our stag & hen parties are officially behind us! Fiancé & his man-pals had a low key celebration at the end of September – pre-drinks, dinner, post-dinner-drinks – and he had a blast! They also took a very pleasing Last Supper-esque group photo that I am 100% getting printed out and framing.

My hen occurred this past weekend and it was literally better than anything I could’ve imagined!! My wonderful sister (aka: celebrant), mother and bridesmaids cooked up the most special surprise day for me! We nibbled on charcuterie boards, toasted glasses of bubbly and made flower crowns at my parents’ house, all BEFORE heading into bottomless brunch & drinks in Temple Bar. It was beyond epic and I had the best! time! ever! Thanks again, Bride Tribe <3

Fiancé is making a new short film! Naturally, he and the trusty team (read: me, my family, and our luminous fix-it friend) have been hard at work filming late into the night recently. Watch this space!

We got our Covid-19 boosters! Beyond grateful to get this done and dusted before the wedding! Another thing ticked off the Summer Bucket List

As of last week, I’m a fully fledged employee at work! I had my 3-month probation review and it’s official: they’re keeping me on and my probation is over!

Continuing down the apple lined rabbit hole: I remade the apple crumble I linked to last month (so! good!), and also tried Rav’s Toffee Apple Self-Saucing Pudding – it’s bloody delicious! So classic and comforting!!

Movies thoughts, with little to no explanation. Marcel the Shell with Shoes On: so cute + largely enjoyable. Knock at the Cabin: good – until it drags. Totally Killer: meh. Sick: surprisingly good! Cocaine Bear: too Irish looking. Mean Girls: October 3rd. IYKYK.
