Passionate Baker Travels is a weekly newsletter by me, Victoria. Full-time desk job employee by day, hobby food & travel blogger by night. I’m currently based in Dublin, Ireland.
I like to think of this space as my treasured personal journal. It’s where I come to record memories of perfect travels, exceptionally good recipes, light hearted seasonal bucket lists, monthly life updates, and, essentially, anything that brings me joy. I hope it brings you some joy, too.

I first started Passionate Baker Travels back in 2012 - although, at that time, it was just Passionate Baker; I hadn’t yet started sharing my travels - and I primarily used the blog as an outlet for the stresses of college life. Creating the perfect brownie recipe was a lot more appealing than spending countless hours in the library studying - and yet, miraculously, I still graduated with a BA in Art History & Archaeology.
In 2016, I started sharing travel guides to Passionate Baker Travels, and I cannot tell you the joy this has brought me! I am a meticulous researcher and planner, so getting to share my travel recommendations and knowledge in this little nook of the internet feels truly wonderful. If I can point even one person to the best cocktails of their life in Osaka, or another person to the best butter chicken in Florence, then putting the effort into creating this space is so worth it. As an avid blog-reader myself, I’d never share anywhere that we haven’t traveled to and truly loved.

Passionate Baker Travels has seen many different iterations over the years. From almost daily postings, to yearly postings, to monthly postings, to weekly postings. A name change. From a blog solely dedicated to baking and recipes, to the introduction of some short travel guides, to now a straight-up travel blog with a foodie angle. Moves from Tumblr to WordPress and now to Substack. A college kid in her late teens to a newlywed in her early thirties. I’m sure there are many more changes in the blog’s future, and I’d love for you to come along for the ride!
