Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread
I’m a self confessed banana bread lover. I have been for as long as I can remember. So in the middle of last week when I noticed we had some nicely browning up bananas, I strategically placed them out of sight so no one would eat them. I know, I know, it was wrong of me to deprive my family members of the health benefits of the bananas & all that, but it was so worth it. I don’t regret it at all. In fact, I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
I’m not the only one who loves banana bread in the house, so it usually gets baked every few weeks or so. I generally always use the same recipe, I figure if you have something good then why mess around with it? However, I’ve started to tire of just plain old banana bread. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE plain banana bread, but I’ve just been feeling a need for a little something extra. & then when I found this recipe one night, it seemed like fate.
It felt like the perfect recipe as I took my first few baby steps into the previously unknown abyss of flavoured banana bread. Also, the combination just sounds absolutely perfect to me: cinnamon & banana bread. What more could a girl want?
I was not let down. It was everything I hoped it would be, & quite possibly more.
